Scope of This Policy
This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Velocity Movers LLC, operating as Velocity Movers LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), handles personal information for its own SMS messaging program. It applies to personal information collected in connection with our SMS messaging program. Our program covers opted-in promotional messages about dispatch services, carrier support, load coordination and related logistics support, and service communications you request. It does not authorize unrelated businesses to message you.
Information We Collect
We collect your mobile number, any name or contact details you provide, SMS preferences, and your replies. We also process records of your consent, including the date, time, source and consent language, along with opt-out records. Our messaging providers may process message content, delivery status, timestamps and technical information. When you subscribe through an online form, information such as your IP address and browser details may be recorded to document consent and protect the program.
How We Use SMS Information
We use this information to manage subscriptions, send messages you consented to receive, respond to enquiries, provide support, monitor delivery, prevent misuse and meet legal and carrier requirements. Promotional SMS requires your separate affirmative SMS consent; providing a phone number for an enquiry or subscribing to email alone does not enroll you in SMS marketing.
Mobile Information and Consent Protection
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is specific to Velocity Movers LLC and is not transferred to another brand.
We may provide information to service providers, such as Mailchimp where used, messaging platforms, delivery providers and mobile carriers, only as needed to operate and support our SMS program. These providers process information for service delivery, security and compliance, rather than for their own marketing. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect legal rights. These limited disclosures do not permit third-party marketing use of your SMS consent.
Your Choices and Opting Out
You may withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to the sending number. You may receive one final message confirming your unsubscribe request; promotional messages will then stop unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for assistance or contact us below. You can also request an opt-out by contacting support and identifying your subscribed number. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards to protect SMS information. SMS transmission and electronic storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure. We retain information for as long as needed to operate the program and meet legal requirements. After you unsubscribe, we may retain limited consent and suppression records to document compliance and prevent further marketing messages.
Privacy Requests and Eligibility
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law, identity verification and required retention. An opt-out record may need to remain to honor your preference. Our SMS program is intended for adults aged 18 or older; we do not knowingly enroll children.
Policy Updates and Related Terms
We may update this policy and will display the revised date on this page. Material changes will be communicated as required by law; an update does not expand your existing SMS consent. Please also review our SMS Terms & Conditions for program details, message frequency, charges and cancellation instructions.
